COVID-19 Update

Group Meetings at Marks Tey Parish Hall
are cancelled until further notice

Due to the current situation we are taking the advice
of the Government and IAM RoadSmart to cancel
all non-essential meetings, and all on-road training.

It comes with a heavy heart that I am writing to you at this time. As you will all be aware the country is under a tremendous strain trying to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic on an individual basis whilst providing as much help and support to our loved ones and neighbours as we can in this difficult time.

Personally I want to thank all those people who are going above and beyond in this difficult time. There is no single person at this time, instead the country is coming together as a collective to provide the help, support and resources needed to get through these uncertainties.

At this time we all want to do our bit, and towards this end there are groups specifically set up to coordinate all this goodwill to achieve the maximum benefit to everyone. Below are some links that will take you to websites with more information:

Statement from IAM RoadSmart

Coronavirus (COVID-19) update: 2 November 2020

Due to the recent Government announcement of a total lockdown in England and the ongoing restrictions in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, IAM RoadSmart has taken the difficult decision to temporarily suspend all our on-road training from Thursday 5 November 2020.

Our Trustees and Senior Management Team continue to monitor the situation closely and make decisions that will best protect our future organisational capability based on current Government advice.

We may have had to pause all our on road training activities in support of the Government’s advice, but you can still access the benefits of membership, purchase our on-road courses and visit our shop online at www.iamroadsmart.com.

If you need to contact us, we ask you to use email wherever possible. Our Customer Care team is available between 8:30am and 6pm Monday to Friday. We thank you in advance for your patience and will answer your query as quickly as we can.

We intend to resume our normal services as soon as we can do so safely. In the meantime, we thank you for your continued support during these difficult times and hope that you keep safe and well.
