Simon has provided the following information regarding his presentation.

Briefly, a talk about how forensic science is largely based upon a theory determined in the 19th century by a frenchman, Dr Edmund Locard, that every crime scene has microscopic trace evidence brought in by the offender who also takes something away. To illustrate Dr Locard’s theory I use 3 real crime stories and combine the onset of DNA profiling.

If there is time another crime can be explained but this offence was proven by use of glass comparison.

If there is even more time (doubtful), some interesting facts about fingerprints.

Questions are welcomed throughout.
